KNOW-MAN – International Conference, Ljubljana

The INTERREG IVC project Know-Man has reached its halfway point. It is our pleasure to present its achievements to date to the wider public at the international conference 'Good Practices in Regional Knowledge Network Management and the Need for Action'. The event will take place on 6th July 2011 at the Hotel Slon in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The conference will present the knowledge gathered in the project as well as the solutions for regional network management developed within the Know-Man project, such as:
• Sets of Good Practices that strengthen links between the science and business sectors,
Knowledge Atlases,
Demand Analyses,
Benchmarking.

These tools will be discussed on the wider international background of knowledge and technology transfer given by conference key speakers: Katarina Nahtigal and Klemen Španinger from Ljubljana University Incubator, Stephen Taylor from AREA Science Park in Trieste and Hans Joachim Kujath from Leibniz-Institute for Regional Development and Structural Planning.

Moreover the issue of sustainability of interregional cooperation projects on regional level will be developed during the conference workshop using the interactive world cafe approach.

Thus the Know-Man conference will further highlight policy implications that address the demands for closer academic-economic-public cooperation.

The on-line registration is now open for participant from outside the project. Please notice that there is no workshop fee for participants.
Please register at www.rra-koroska.si/know-man  until 30th June 2011.

After the registration, we will send you regular updates and the outline of the conference proceedings.
